Veronika Sturdy
Originally I graduated in a completely different field than a creative one but I was always trying to create something since I was a child. Firstly I wanted to try ceramics and wheel throwing which was always my childhood dream. Once I was trying to find the price of the clay on the internet and the pictures with polymer clay started to pop up on my screen. I did not go to sleep that night. I was hypnotised and it was love at first site. It happened about 5 years ago and my love keeps growing.
I try to educate myself and attending all sorts of workshops and classes in Czech Republic and abroad. I live half in London, half in Prague which is giving me the opportunity to meet the Masters of Polymer Clay World. I had an honour to be attending the classes of Carol Blackburn, Carol Simmons, Bettina Welker, Donna Kato, Melanie West, Ronna Weltmann and many more. Slowly I started to teach in Czech Republic and abroad and sell my tutorials on CraftArtEdu.
I like to organise events and classes for other tutors or to be part of the organising team such as London Polymer Clay Group or EuroSynergy Conference Team. It always makes me happy when the success of Czech artists and their talent is recognised and I think that the Czech Republic has a lot to offer the Polymer World.
