POLYMER CLAY HEAVEN

Believe it or not polymer clay was introduced to me by my husband - an artist who likes to experiment. He found some Fimo projects and tutorials on the internet, bought a few blocks of clay and started to play with it. I was looking over his shoulder and said: “I would do better!” in that moment I was trapped.
Then the first timid pattern came, the first flower, the first class and searching for tutorials, but mainly patience and constant trying of the new techniques and patterns. At that time (2008) the amazing and creative online shop Fler began in the Czech Republic. Thanks to this shop I met people affected by polymer clay, too. We started to go to the meetings, where we just turned the handle of the pasta machine and talked about our love polymer clay for the whole weekend. I went to the great events such as Fimohraní, Fimošílení or Euro Clay Carnival, where I could learn from the best Czech and foreign artists. I bought a few books and magazines about the polymer clay, I took part in the classes, but I still know there is a lot of things I can and want to learn. Now the creating with polymer clay is not only my hobby but my job which is extremely fun and fulfilling. I create jewellery that I would like to wear, too, jewellery that is close to my heart and I give a piece of myself in to it when I make it. I hope that this obsession with polymer clay will continue!
