POLYMER CLAY HEAVEN

I have created jewellery and accessories from polymer clay under the label Yellow.Jacket.Angel since 2006. Then I saw things from polymer clay for the first time at one of the first Design Markets. It reminded me of my childhood, when I “played” with Playdough. It didn’t take long and I started to play with Fimo, too. Sometimes I have regrets that I did not attend any workshops when I began. However on the other hand, it wasn’t necessary. I took my chances, tried what the clay can and cannot do, I experimented. I made first set for myself and then gifts for my friends for Christmas. It was a slow but very definite start of an addiction to polymer clay.
I always liked to look into my grandfather’s, my father’s or my brother’s workshops to see if there was something I could use. And the biggest change came when I borrowed my brother’s small drill. Thanks to that I found my style - I would say it is pretty minimalist, simple and technical. After some time I started to look into working with silver and other metals. I also attended a workshop with Kathleen Dustin. Then I got back to my original profession - production manager. Now I am again thinking about how to develop in my creative line of work.
I couldn’t express myself verbally, that’s why I make things with my hands.
